New Antioxidant Study Validates Dr. Young's pH Miracle Lifestyle and Diet

Adults doing type 2 diabetes who eat acidic
meals may experience memory declines immediately
afterward, but this can be offset by taking
antioxidant supplements with the meal, according to
new research from Baycrest.

"There is already growing evidence linking eating and
drinking acidic meals that can lead to diabetes and
then to cognitive complications in humans. Adults

diet are especially vulnerable to acute memory deficits

The latest study, led by Baycrest and published in
the July issue of Nutrition Research, suggests that
taking high doses of antioxidants with the meal may

"Our bottom line is that consuming unhealthy meals
for those with diabetes can temporarily further worsen
already underlying memory problems associated with
the disease,"said lead author Michael Herman Chui, who
conducted the research as a University of Toronto
pathobiology undergraduate in the Kunin-Lunenfeld
Applied Research Unit (KLARU) at Baycrest. "We've
shown that antioxidant vitamins can minimize oxidative
stress from the meal and reduce those immediate memory
deficits."

"The acidic symptoms of type 2 diabetes is associated
with chronic oxidative stress, a major contributor to
cognitive decline and Alzheimer dis-ease or "I eat too
much sugar dis-ease." Consuming acidic foods and drinks
can induce this type of stress which is triggered by
acute elevations of hydrogen ions or protons --
unstable molecules that can damage tissue, including
brain tissue. These destructive molecule reactions
typically occur over a one-to-three hour period after
food ingestion," states Dr. Young.

Dr. Carol Greenwood, senior author of the study and a
nationally recognized expert in how diet impacts brain
function, cautioned that relying on antioxidant supplements
at meal time is not a quick fix. "While our study looked
at the pill form of antioxidants, we would ultimately
want individuals to consume healthier foods high in
antioxidants, like fruits and vegetables," said
Dr. Greenwood, a KLARU senior scientist at Baycrest.

"Maintaining an alkaline lifestyle and diet that includes
one hour of daily exercise, a low acid diet rich in
antioxidants and chlorophyll, liberal amounts of healthy
oils, ingesting mineral salts daily, drinking only 9.5 pH
water at -150 mV, and staying mentally active and
socially engaged in a variety of activities, is the
best medicine for optimizing cognitive health during
the lifespan," states Dr. Young.

In the study, 16 adults (aged 50 years and older) doing
type 2 diabetes participated in an unblinded trial
where they attended three weekly sessions that involved
consuming a different test meal. One meal consisted of
acidic foods -- a danish pastry, cheddar cheese and yogurt
with added whipped cream; the second meal consisted of
only water consumption; and the third test meal was the
high-fat meal plus high doses of antioxidants.

Fifteen minutes after starting meal ingestion,
participants completed a series of neuropsychological
tests lasting 90 minutes that measured their recall
abilities for words they had heard and paragraph
information they had read. These cognitive skills are
associated with the brain's memory center - the
hippocampus.

Researchers found that antioxidant supplementation
consistently improved recall scores relative to the
meal alone. Participants who ate the high acidic meal
without antioxidant supplements showed significantly
more forgetfulness of words and paragraph information
in immediate and time delay recall tests, relative to
those who had the water meal or the meal with
antioxidant supplements. Those on the water meal and meal
with antioxidants showed similar levels in cognitive
performance.

Seven Dirty Words To Die or Live By

If there’s something positive about the death of
celebrities, it’s that they create opportunities
to educate the average Jane and Joe Public about
how an acidic lifestyle and diet causes dis-ease
and disease that also affect them.

In the recent cases of the great, beloved journalist
Tim Russert and the iconic, counterculture comedian
George Carlin, there is a window of opportunity to
let people know about the risks of an acidic lifesytle
and diet and how it causes heart dis-ease, which
remains the nation’s No. 1 symptom of men and women,
and what they can do to prevent it.

“As a country, we need to change our focus to
prevention of dis-ease and disease by increasing
research funding for how lifestyle and diet is
the true cause of atherosclerosis, stroke, heart
and other disease symptomologies," states
Dr. Robert O. Young, of the pH Miracle Living
Research Center.

“Advances in heart research and changes in the way
physicians manage heart disease have turned it into a
chronic illness. Modern acidic therapies, such as
statin drugs and acidic aspirin, have increased not
decreased the risk for atherosclerosis, stroke and
acidic heart attacks, ” states Dr. Young

That includes Russert, who was being treated for
heart disease. He would have wanted us to debate
heart disease, to bring it out into the open for

“Did Russert work too much? Yes. Did he have an
acidic diet? Yes. Could anything have been done
to prevent his fatal acidic heart attack? Absolutely!
A cucumber a day instead of statin drugs and
aspirin, would have been the right choice.
Maintaining the alkaline design of the body is
the only treatment for preventing atherosclerosis,
stroke and heart attacks," states Dr. Young

Carlin, who had multiple acidic heart attacks and
certainly would have benefited from an alkaline
lifestyle and diet, once said “death is caused by
swallowing small amounts of saliva over a long
period of time.”

"Unfortunately Carlin was dead wrong about what
causes death. The problem is not swallowing saliva.
The problem is swallowing acidic saliva at a pH less
then 6.8 caused by an acidic lifestyle and diet.
A person does not die from a stroke or a heart attack.
A person dies from acidic lifestyle and dietary choices
that lead up to the stroke or the heart attack. The
truth is the stroke or the heart attack is a consequence
of daily lifestyle and dietary choice! You don't get
a heart attack - you have to do it with your thoughts,
your words and your deeds." states Dr. Young.

Some of us were dealt a genetic hand with weak hearts
in spades. Family history or should we say family acidic
lifestyles and diets, in fact, is the largest
risk factor for heart dis-ease and disease.

Even then, we can live longer, healthier lives by
adjusting to an alkaline lifestyle and diet which
can prevent ALL sickness and dis-ease or disease.

In a fashion that might make Carlin smile, here are
seven dirty words about acidic heart disease:

1) Diet — acidic dairy, acidic animal proteins, coffee,
tea, vinegar, soy sauce, soft drinks, alcohol, all
sugar, including high sugar fruits and sugar substitutes
are all acid forming in the body and are known to
contribute to weaken blood vessels and the heart muscle
that leads to stroke and heart dis-ease.

2) Genetics — African Americans, Hispanics, native
Americans all have higher rates of high blood pressure
and heart disease. Most genetic weakness is triggered
by an acidic lifestyle and diet. Get off your acidic
lifestyle and diet and the genetics is no longer a
factor!

3) Stress — working too much, dramatic personal lives,
worrying, depression are all acidic contributing lifestyle
factors, also feeding acid forming stress with too much
alcohol and other acidic drugs. (Carlin reportedly
went through drug and alcohol rehab in 2004)

4) Smoking — the acids in smoke are sugar and nicotine
which constricts blood vessels and strains the heart
and lungs leading to stroke and heart dis-ease.

5) Inactivity — the heart is a muscle that needs to
be exercised to move out metabolic acids that break it
down; even moderate activity is helpful, and losing
10 pounds of acid can reduce your cardiac risk. My
best advise is get off your pHat acid and go to health
with one hour of daily exercise.

6) High blood pressure (over 160/90 - ideal is less then
140/80) with a high pulse rate (over 80 beats a minute -
ideal is less then 70 beats per minute) — leads to
undue acidic stress on a variety of organs, including
the heart; combined with other acidic risk factors it
increases the chance of an acidic stroke or heart
attack by over 300%.

7) Denial — saying “it won’t happen to me,” without
changing your acidic lifestyle and diet to an
alkaline lifestyle and diet guarantees you won’t see a
decrease in your risk for a stroke or heart attack.

about a stroke or a heart disease caused by an acidic

Preventing and Reversing Type I and Type II Diabetes

The following is an unsolicited pH Miracle Living

Symptom and Disease Confused!

In this very revealing and thought-provoking presentation,
Dr. Robert O. Young helps us to to take a clear-eyed look at
how illogical current medical thinking is about diagnosis of
symptoms, naming diseases, and then prescribing drug
treatments. If you want to know the real "CAUSE" of some
common dis-ease or disease conditions, read on!

"Disease or should we say Dis-ease names like cancer,
diabetes and osteoporosis are misleading and misinform
patients about dis-ease prevention.

There is a curious tendency in conventional medicine
to name a set of symptoms a disease. I was recently
at a compounding pharmacy having my bone mineral
density measured to update my health stats. I
spotted a poster touting a new drug for osteoporosis.
It was written by a drug company and it said
exactly this: 'Osteoporosis is a disease that causes
weak and fragile bones.' Then, the poster went on to
say that you need a particular drug to counteract this 'disease.'

Yet the language is all backwards. Osteoporosis isn't
a disease that causes weak bones, osteoporosis is
the name given to a diagnosis of weak bones. In other
words, the weak bones are the result of excess acidity,
and then the diagnosis of osteoporosis followed.

The drug poster makes it sound like osteoporosis
strikes first, and then you get weak bones. The
cause and effect is all backwards. And that's
how drug companies want people to think about
diseases and symptoms: first you 'get' the dis-ease,
and then you are 'diagnosed' just in time to take
a new drug for the rest of your life.

But it's all an illuision. There is no such
disease as osteoporosis. It's just a made-up name
given to a pattern of symptoms that indicates
you are over-acid which causes your bones to
become fragile.

As another example, when a person follows an
unhealthy lifestyle that results in a symptom
such as high blood pressure, that symptom is
actually being assumed to be a disease all by
itself and it will be given a disease name.
What disease? The dis-ease is, of course,
'hypertension' or 'high blood pressure.'
Doctors throw this phrase around as if it
were an actual dis-ease and not merely
descriptive of patient physiology.

This may all seem silly, right? But there's
actually a very important point to all this.

When we look at symptoms and give them disease
names, we automatically distort the selection
of available treatments for such a dis-ease.
If the dis-ease is, by itself, hypercholesterolemia
or high cholesterol, then the cure for the dis-ease
must be nothing other than lowering the high
cholesterol. And that's how we end up with all
these pharmaceuticals treating high cholesterol
in order to 'prevent' this dis-ease and lower
the levels of LDL cholesterol in the human patient.

By lowering only the cholesterol, the doctor can
rest assured that he is, in fact, treating this
'disease,' since the definition of this 'disease'
is hypercholesterolemia or high cholesterol and
nothing else.

But there is a fatal flaw in this approach to
disease treatment: the symptom is not the cause
of the dis-ease. There is another cause, and
this deeper cause is routinely ignored by
conventional medicine, doctors, drug companies,
and even patients.

Let's take a closer look at hypertension or
high blood pressure. What actually causes high
blood pressure? Many doctors would say high
blood pressure is caused by a specific, measurable
interaction between circulating chemicals in the
human body. Thus, the ill-behaved chemical
compounds are the cause of the high blood pressure,
and therefore the solution is to regulate these
chemicals. That's exactly what pharmaceuticals
do -- they attempt to manipulate the chemicals
in the body to adjust the symptoms of high blood
pressure. Thus, they only treat the symptoms,
not the root cause.

Or take a look at high cholesterol. The conventional
medicine approach says that high cholesterol is
caused by a chemical imbalance in the liver, which
is the organ that produces cholesterol. Thus the
treatment for high cholesterol is a prescription
drug that inhibits the liver's production of
cholesterol (statin drugs). Upon taking these
drugs, the high cholesterol (the 'disease')
is regulated, but what was causing the liver to
overproduce cholesterol in the first place?
That causative factor remains ignored.

The root cause of high cholesterol, as it turns
out, is primarily an over acidic lifestyle and
diet. A person lives an acidic life or who eats
foods that are acidic will inevitably cause the
body to go into preservation mode and produce more
cholesterol to neutralize the excess acid thus
showing the symptoms of this so-called dis-ease
of high cholesterol. Its simple cause and effect.
Eat the wrong foods and don't exercise, and you'll
produce too much acid which will cause the body to
release cholesterol from the liver to bind up
that acid which can be detected and diagnosed by
conventional medical procedures. You see it is
not the cholesterol that is bad it is the acid
producing food we eat and the lack of exercise
that is bad. Reduce the acid producing foods
like beef, chicken, pork, dairy, coffee, tea,
soda pops, etc., and start exercising every day
and you will reduce the protective cholesterol
that is saving your life from acids that are
not being elimnated from an acidic lifestyle
and diet.

Yet the root cause of all this is actually poor
lifestyle and food choice, not some bizarre
behavior by the liver. If the disease were to
be accurately named, then, it would be called
Acidic Lifestyle and Food Choice Dis-Ease, or
simply ALFCD.

ALFCD would be a far more accurate name that
would make sense to people. If it's an acidic
lifestyle and foods choice dis-ease, then it
seems that the obvious solution to the dis-ease
would be to choose a lifestyle and foods that
aren't so acidic. Of course that may be a bit
of simplification since you have to distinguish
between healthy alkaline lifestyles and foods
and unhealthy acidic lifestyle and foods. But
at least the name ALFCD gives clients or patients
a better idea of what's actually going on rather
than naming the dis-ease after a symptom, such
as high cholesterol. You see, the symptom is not
the dis-ease, but conventional medicine insists
on calling the symptom the dis-ease because that
way it can treat the symptom and claim success
without actually addressing the underlying cause,
which remains a mystery to modern medicine.

But let's move on to some other dis-eases so you
get a clearer picture of how this actually works.
Another dis-ease that's caused by poor lifestyle
and acidic food choice is diabetes. Type 2
diabetes is the natural physiological and metabolic
result of a person consuming refined carbohydrates
and added sugars in large quantities, undigested
proteins from beef, chicken, and pork without
engaging in regular physical exercise that would
compensate for such dietary practices.

The name 'diabetes' is meaningless to the average
person. The disease should be called Excessive Acid
Dis-Ease, or EAD. If it were called Excessive Acid
Dis-ease, the solution to it would be rather apparent;
simply eat less sugar, eliminate all animal proteins,
eggs, dairy, drink fewer soft drinks, exercise and so
on. But of course that would be far too simple for
the medical community, so the dis-ease must be given
a complex name such as diabetes that puts its
solution out of reach of the average patient.

Another dis-ease that is named after its symptom
is cancer. In fact, to this day, most doctors and
many patients still believe that cancer is a physical
thing: a tumor. In reality, a tumor is the solution
of cancer, not its cause. A tumor is simply a
physical manifestation of bound up acidic cells
so they do not spoil other healthy cells. The
tumor is the solution to cells damaged by acids
not the problem. The truth is cancer is not a
cell but an acidic liquid. When a person 'has
cancer,' what they really have is cancerous tissues
or latent tissue acidosis. They are absorbing
their own acidic urine. It would be a far better
named for the dis-ease: Cancerous Tisssue Dis-Ease(CTD)
or Latent Tissue Acidosis or LTA.

If cancer were actually called Latent Tissue Acidosis,
it would seem ridiculous to try to cure cancer by
cutting out tumors through surgery and by destroying
the immune system with chemotherapy. And yet these
are precisely the most popular treatments for cancer
offered by conventional medicine. These treatments
do absolutely nothing to support the patient's
immune system and prevent the build up of acids
in the tissues. That's exactly why most people who
undergo chemotherapy or the removal of tumors through
surgical procedures end up with yet more cancer a few
months or a few years later. It's also another reason
why survival rates of cancer have barely budged over
the last twenty years. (In other words, conventional
medicine's treatments for cancer simply don't work.)
The main reason is current medical science wrongly
perceives cancer as a cell when in reality cancer
is an acidic liquid, like lactic acid.

This whole situation stems from the fact that the
dis-ease is misnamed. It isn't cancer, it isn't a
tumor and it certainly isn't a dis-ease caused by
having too strong of an immune system that needs
to be destroyed through chemotherapy. It is simply
latent tissue acidosis. And if it were called
latent tissue acidosis dis-ease or urine in the
tissues dis-ease, the effective treatment for
cancer would be apparent.

The kidneys are responsible for eliminating acids
out of the blood and recycling alkalinity back into
the blood. When we have an over-acidic lifestyle
and diet this puts stress on the kidneys which
can cause them to breakdown. The result is kidney
dis-ease caused by circulatory acids. If acids
are not eliminated out of the blood they will
then be thrown out into the tissues leading to
latent tissue acidosis and eventual cancerous
tissue. Medical science uses dialysis to purify
the blood from acidity and prevent latent tissue
acidosis. If one will stop their acidic lifestyle
and diet and begin to alkalize the blood and
tissues this will support the kidneys and
prevent kidney disease and the need for
dialysis.

There are many other dis-eases that are given
misleading names by western medicine. But if you
look around the world and take a look at how
dis-eases are named elsewhere, you will find
many countries have dis-ease names that actually
make sense.

For example, in Chinese medicine, Alzheimer's
dis-ease is given a name that means, when
translated, 'feeble mind disease.' In Chinese
medicine, the name of the dis-ease more accurately
describes the actual cause of the dis-ease which
is caused by acids or urine on the brain, whereas
in western medicine, the name of the dis-ease
seems to be intended to obscure the root cause
of the dis-ease, thereby making all dis-eases
sound far more complex and mysterious than they
really are.

This is one way in which doctors and practitioners
of western medicine keep medical treatments out
of the reach of the average citizen. Because,
by God, they sure don't want people thinking for
themselves about the causes of dis-ease!

By creating a whole new vocabulary for medical
conditions, they can speak their own secret
language and make sure that people who aren't
schooled in medicine don't understand what
they're saying. That's a shame, because the
treatments and cures for virtually all chronic
dis-eases are actually quite simple and can be
described in plain language, such as making
different alkaline food choices, getting more
natural sunlight, drinking more alkaline water,
engaging in regular physical exercise, avoiding
specific acidic foods, supplementing our diet
with green foods and green drinks and alkalizing
nutritional supplements and so on.

See, western medicine prefers to describe
dis-eases in terms of chemistry. When you're
depressed, you aren't suffering from a lack of
natural sunlight; you are suffering from a 'brain
chemistry imbalance' that can only be regulated,
they claim, by ingesting toxic chemicals to alter
your brain chemistry. When your bones are brittle,
it's not acidic brittle bones dis-ease; it's
called osteoporosis, something that sounds very
technical and complicated. And to treat it, western
doctors and physicians will give you prescriptions
for expensive drugs that somehow claim to make
your bones less brittle. But in fact, the real
treatment for this can be described in plain
language once again: regular physical exercise,
vitamin D supplementation, mineral supplements
that include calcium and strontium, natural sunlight,
and avoidance of acidic foods such as soft drinks,
white flour and added sugars.

In fact, virtually every dis-ease that's prominent
in modern society -- diabetes, cancer, heart
disease, osteoporosis, clinical depression,
irritable bowel syndrome and so on -- can be
easily described in plain language without
using complex terms at all. These dis-eases
are simply misnamed. And I believe that they
are intentionally misnamed to put the jargon
out of reach of everyday citizens. As a result,
there's a great deal of arrogance in the language
of western medicine, and this arrogance furthers
the language of separation. Separation never
results in healing. In order to effect healing,
we must bring together the language of healers
and patients using plain language that real people
understand and that real people can act upon.

We need to start describing dis-eases in terms
of their root causes, not in terms of their arcane,
biochemical actions. When someone suffers from
seasonal affective disorder or clinical depression,
for example, let's call it what it is: Sunlight
Deficiency Disorder. To treat it, the person simply
needs to get more sunlight. This isn't rocket science,
it's not complex, and it doesn't require a
prescription.

If someone is suffering from osteoporosis, let's
get realistic about the words we use to describe
the condition: it's really Acidic Bones Dis-ease.
And it should be treated with things that will
enhance bone density, such as nutrition, physical
exercise and avoidance of acidic foods and drinks
that strip away bone mass from the human body to
neutralize the excess acids in the blood and
tissues.

All of this information, of course, is rather
shocking to old-school doctors and practitioners
of western medicine, and the bigger their egos
are, the more they hate the idea of naming dis-eases
in plain language that patients can actually
comprehend. That's because if the simple truths
about dis-eases and their causes were known,
health would be more readily available to everyday
people, and that would lessen the importance of
physicians and medical researchers.

There's a great deal of ego invested in the medical
community, and they sure don't want to make sound
health attainable to the average person without
their expert advice. Many Doctors want to serve
as the translators of 'truth' and will balk at
any attempts to educate the public to either practice
medicine on their own.

But in reality, health (and a connection with
spirit) is attainable by every single person.
Health is easy, it is straightforward, it is direct
and, for the most part, it is available free of
charge. A personal connection with our Creator is
the same if we ask humbly in prayer for a
relationship with Him, and guidance.

Don't believe the names of dis-eases given to you
by your doctor. Those names are designed to obscure,
not to inform. They are designed to separate you
from self-healing, not to put you in touch with your
own inner healer. And thus, they are nothing more
than bad medicine masquerading as modern medical
practice."

Let me begin this update with an important

Research Scientists Battle Dangerous Acidic Vaccines and Antibiotics

Dr. Shiv Chopra, as a vaccine and drug regulator
for Health Canada for nearly forty years, evaluated
every red-hot topic in public health. He tried,
sometimes successfully, to protect the public from
ineffective and harmful vaccines, genetically
modified foods, pesticides, carcinogenic antibiotics
and hormones used in food-producing animals, and
agricultural practices that promote Mad Cow
Acid Dis-ease.

Unsurprisingly, he was fired from Health Canada in
2004 for "insubordination" -- in other words, refusing
to bow to corporate and government pressure to give
a pass to unsafe substances. Dr. Chopra has now
written a book, Corrupt to the Core, about his
decades of struggle to have the law recognized as
being above political policy.

Chopra observes that despite vaccinations, some
childhood dis-eases are appearing with increasing
frequency in the very populations that have been
vaccinated for several generations. He finds it
alarming that "the list of vaccines being administered
to young children has been enlarged to include
many more viral and bacterial infections with
little or no scientific rationale."

The U.S. Center for Disease Control continues to
argue that 36,000 people die annually of the flu,
even though available statistics show that the
true number is less than 100. Meanwhile, current
research has shown that merely increasing
vitamin D levels reduces the incidence of the
flu by more than 70 percent.

Vaccination programs whose scientific basis is
so flawed as to border on the absurd include
Tamiflu, which has been discontinued in Japan
because of so many deaths from sudden serious
psychiatric disorders, and Gardasil, which
during the first year of its use has resulted
in more than 3,500 adverse events, more than
any vaccine in history. Gardasil contains a
whopping 675 micrograms of toxic aluminum, and
one of the scientists who developed it,
Diane M. Harper, warned that the vaccine had
never been tested on young girls before it was
released for widespread use by them.

Perhaps the worst is MMR, which supposedly
provides immunity against measles, mumps, and
rubella. More than 4,900 U.S. families have
filed lawsuits after their children became
autistic within days of getting this shot.

A second area of concern in Dr. Chopra's career
was bacterial antibiotic resistance, which is
wholly avoidable and caused solely by use of
antibiotics in food-producing animals and the
reckless over-prescribing habits of doctors.
There are currently entire classes of antibiotics
that should not even be on the market; Dr. Chopra
fought vigorously and unsuccessfully to keep
Baytril and Revelor-H off the market. They were
finally banned more than a decade after his
warnings because of the undeniable harm they
cause.

According to Dr. Robert O. Young, a research
scientist at the pH Miracle Living Center,
"taking a vaccine or an antibiotic of any kind
will only prove that you can poison yourself
and then hopefully live through the experience.
There is no such thing as a safe or effective
vaccine. All vaccines and antibiotic are highly
acidic and have the potential to make one very

found by maintaining the alkaline design of the
body fluids with an alkaline lifestyle and diet.

Lifestyle and Diet Can Cause Changes in the Human Gene

There is a dangerous game called Russian
Roulette. The way it works is you take
a gun and insert one bullet into the chamber.
You then spin the chamber. After spinning
the chamber several times you put the barrel
of the gun up to your head and then pull the
trigger. Your hope and prayer is that the
chamber is empty when you pull the trigger.
If you do not blow your head off then you
win the game.

The reason I am sharing with you this
dangerous game is that billions of people
unknowingly are playing this stupid game
every day with their acidic lifestyle and
dietary choices.

You see, Russian Roulette is a metaphor
for a persons acidic lifestyle and dietary
choices that can lead to all sickness and
dis-ease.

The bullet is a representation of genetic
weakness. The trigger is a representation
of acidic lifestyle and dietary choice.
When you continue to pull the acidic lifestyle
and dietary choice trigger eventually you will
fire the genetic weakness bullet that then leads
to all sickness, dis-ease and disease.

Today, U.S researchers stated that comprehensive
lifestyle and dietary changes including more
exercise can lead not only to a better physique,
but also to swift and dramatic changes at the
genetic level.

Dr. Robert O. Young, a research scientist at The
pH Miracle Living Center suggests, "genetic
weakness and genetic strength are specifically
tied to lifestyle and dietary choice. The genes
of our cells remain healthy and strong and will
function optimally when bathed in an alkaline
environment."

In a small study, the researchers tracked 30 men
with low-risk prostate cancer who decided against
conventional medical treatment such as surgery
and radiation or hormone therapy.

The men underwent three months of major lifestyle
changes, including eating a diet rich in alkaline
fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes and soy
products, moderate exercise such as walking for half
an hour a day, and an hour of daily stress management
methods such as meditation.

As expected, they lost weight, lowered their blood
pressure and saw other health improvements. But the
researchers found more profound changes when they
compared prostate biopsies taken before and after
the lifestyle and dietary changes.

After the three months, the men had changes in
activity in about 500 genes -- including 48 that
were turned on and 453 genes that were turned off.

The activity of dis-ease-preventing genes increased
while a number of dis-ease-promoting genes, including
those involved in prostate cancer and breast cancer,
shut down, according to the study published in the
journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

The research was led by Dr. Dean Ornish, head of the
Preventive Medicine Research Institute in Sausalito,
California, and a well-known author advocating lifestyle
changes to improve health.

"It's an exciting finding because so often people say,
'Oh, it's all in my genes, what can I do?' Well, it
turns out you may be able to do a lot," stated Dr.
Ornish.

"'In just three months, I can change hundreds of my
genes simply by changing what I eat and how I live?'
That's pretty exciting," Ornish said. "The implications
of our study are not limited to men with prostate
cancer."

Ornish said the men avoided conventional medical
treatment for prostate cancer for reasons separate
from the study. But in making that decision, they
allowed the researchers to look at biopsies in
people with cancer before and after lifestyle changes.

"It gave us the opportunity to have an ethical reason
for doing repeat biopsies in just a three-month period
because they needed that anyway to look at their
clinical changes (in their prostate cancer),"
Ornish said.

According to Dr. Young, "genes are not living. For
if they were living they would know no death and
would be physiologically imperishable. But genes
do disorganize and perish. Genes are organizations of
living intelligent matter that is indestructible.
This indestructible matter that makes up all genes
was first identified by a French medical doctor
Antione BeChamp in the late 19th century and is
called the microzyma. According to BeChamp the
microzyma knows no death but only change. The
change in genes is microzymian change and is
initiated by lifestyle and dietary choice."

The Cause of Cancerous Conditions of Husbands and Wives

The Spark of Life - The Negative Charged Ion

Every breath we take, every move we make...
so goes the song.

Yet every move we make does depend on every
breath we take and every drink (or meal) we take,
because our movement is fueled by electrical energy
that we store in the body. We receive our energy
from the triune sources of air, food and water.

Electrical energy doesn't just 'drop' out of the
air, food or water that we ingest. In its usual
form it is not chemically available. It can't
always be called upon to support every move we
make because it is not always ready for chemical
reaction.

For any chemical reaction to occur there needs
to be two molecules involved, and each of these
molecules must have something to 'trade', in the
form of compatible atoms that are either positively
or negatively charged.

Positively charged molecules (and the atoms within
them) will easily and naturally unite with negatively
charged molecules of equivalent and compatible
charge.

Put simply, all of your body functions rely on the
electrical energy released from the unity of the
'charge' of the molecules in it and the opposite
'charge' in food water or air that enters it.

So what is an ion?

An ion is any atom that has a positive or a
negative charge. A positively charged ion will
seek a negatively charged one to unite with,
have a glorious 'coupling' and then turn into
something totally new and available.

So why do we rave on so much about negative ions?

Because the result of every move you move (a net
spending of electrical energy) is a positively
charged body. The molecules in your body are
left holding a positive charge. They are unavailable
for future 'couplings' unless we get a new batch of
attractive and giving negative ions in quickly.

As we hear so often these days, things ain't what
they used to be. The air is different. Putting it
very frankly and unscientifically, it's full of
crud or acid. Positively charged crud or acid .
Nothing ever 'goes away' on our little green planet
and every exhaust, every chimney plume, every
release of gas, stays within our thin and fragile
ionosphere.

It stays in the air we gulp as we run along the
beach, it stays in the water we drink, and it stays
in the food we eat. And all of it this acidic pollution
is useless for energy production within the body.

The air we breath in our garden, only 500 meters
from the beach, contains only around 150 negative
ions/cc/sec. but it also contains around 700
positive ions. This means that even as we lay on the
beach doing absolutely nothing, our bodies are
getting short-shifted by 2000 (required) plus 700
positive less 150 negative ions = 2550 ions/cc/second.

Because the environment can no longer supply our
basics , our bodies have to negatively ionize the
air, water and food that enters our bodies just to
get bare minimum ionization needs, and lying there
in the sun, they are working non-stop just to supply
enough available electrical energy for us to get up
off the sand and walk to the car!

Did we always have to do this?

No!

We have managed to take our beautiful planet from
a garden paradise to technoaicidtrash in less than
a century, and we have done one 'good' job.

Where once clear air and spring or glacial water
gave us all the negative ions we needed, today the
same basics actually rob our bodies of energy.

Like the idea of drinking pure alkaline rainwater?

Don't .

It robs you of electrons. It is also acidic, having
combined with CO 2 and pollutants as it falls from
the clouds, and so it only contributes to the
acidic state of your body.

of electricity (-electric) and negatively

of the vital force in the organized world leads us
to recognize in it the following properties ands
laws: the vital force is the most subtle, most
penetrating, most invisible agent we have known
until now in nature; in this respect it surpasses
even light, electricity and magnetism, with which
in other respects it seems to have the greatest
analogy...

We find a striking analogy between the vital force

Global Warming and Body Warming Are Caused By ACID

cells. This condition of the blood leads to light headedness,
cold hands, cold feet, forgetfulness, muddle thinking or
brain fog, stroke, heart attack, tumor formation and
internal bleeding, just to name a few

I have been studying the acid/alkaline conditions of the
blood for over twenty-five years and have determined
that all sickness and dis-ease or body warming is caused
by the over-acidification of the blood and tissues.

Scientists have been studying the acid/alkaline
conditions at the bottom of the Mediterranean Sea.

Natural carbon dioxide vents on the sea floor are
showing scientists how carbon emissions will affect
marine life.

Dissolved CO2 makes water more acidic, and around
the vents, researchers saw a fall in species numbers,
and snails with their shells disintegrating because of
the increase of acid C02.

Writing in the journal Nature, the UK scientists
suggest these impacts are likely to be seen across
the world as CO2 levels rise in the atmosphere.

Some of the extra CO2 emitted enters the oceans,
acidifying waters globally.

The only way of reducing the impact of ocean
acidification is the urgent reduction in CO2
emissions.

"These same principals of acidification of the
ocean also apply to the acidification of our
body and the causative reason for the increase
in cancer, heart disease, diabetes and all other
degenerative diseases," states Dr. Robert O. Young,
a research scientist at the pH Miracle Living Center.

"Studies have shown that the seas have become more
acidic since the industrial revolution," states
Carol Turley. of the Plymouth Marine Laboratory.

Research leader Jason Hall-Spencer from the University
of Plymouth said that atmospheric CO2 concentrations
were now so high that even a sharp fall in emissions
would not prevent some further acidification of the
ocean.

"It's clear that marine food webs as we know them are
going to alter, and biodiversity will decrease," he
told BBC News.

"Those impacts are inevitable because acidification is
inevitable - we've started it, and we can't stop it."

Corals construct their external skeletons by extracting
dissolved calcium carbonate from seawater and using it
to form two minerals, calcite and aragonite. Molluscs
use the same process to make their shells.

As water becomes more acidic, the concentration of
calcium carbonate falls. Eventually there is so
little that shells or skeletons cannot form.

The oceans are thought to have absorbed about half
of the extra CO2 put into the atmosphere in the
industrial age. This has lowered its pH by 0.1
pH is the measure of acidity and alkalinity.

The vast majority of liquids lie between pH 0
(highly acidic) and pH 14 (highly alkaline); 7
is the midpoint of the pH scale. Seawater is
mildly alkaline with a "natural" pH of about
8.2.

The IPCC forecasts that ocean pH will fall by
"between 0.14 and 0.35 units over the 21st Century,
adding to the present decrease of 0.1 units since
pre-industrial times."

Around the vents which Dr Hall-Spencer's team
investigated, in the Mediterranean Sea near the
Italian coast, CO2 bubbling into the water forms
a sort of natural laboratory for studying the
impacts of acidified water on marine life.

Globally, the seas now have an average pH of about
8.1 - down about 0.1 since the dawn of the
industrial age.

Around the vents, it fell as low as 7.4 in some places.
But even at 7.8 to 7.9, the number of species present
was 30% down compared with neighboring areas.

Coral was absent, and species of algae that use
calcium carbonate were displaced in favour of
species that do not use it.

Snails were seen with their shells dissolving.
There were no snails at all in zones with a
pH of 7.4.

Meanwhile, sea grasses thrived, perhaps because
they benefit from the extra carbon in the water.

These observations confirm that some of the
processes seen in laboratory experiments and
some of the predictions made by computer models
of ocean ecosystems do also happen in the real world.

"I can't count the number of times that scientific
talks end with 'responses have not yet been
documented in the field'," said Elliott Norse,
president of the Marine Conservation Biology
Institute (MCBI).

"This paper puts that to rest for several
ecologically important marine groups."

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC)
suggests that without measures to restrain carbon
dioxide emissions, ocean pH is likely to fall to about
7.8 by 2100.

This suggests that some of the impacts seen
around the Mediterranean vents might be widespread.

"I think we will see the same pattern in other parts
of the world, because we're talking about keystone
species such as mussels and limpets and barnacles
being lost as pH drops," said Dr Hall-Spencer.

The IPCC suggests that some areas, notably the
Southern Ocean, might feel the impacts at lower
concentrations of CO2.

Last month, scientists reported that water with
CO2 levels high enough to be "corrosive" to marine
life was rising up off the western US coast.

Bottom water naturally contains more CO2 than at
shallower depths. This scientific team argues
that human emissions have pushed these levels
even higher, contributing to pH values as low 7.5
in waters heavily used by US fishermen.

"If [pH 7.8] is a universal 'tipping point', then
it indicates that sections of the western coast
waters off North America may have passed this
threshold during periods when this upwelling of
waters high in CO2 occurs," commented Carol Turley
from Plymouth Marine Laboratory (PML), who was not
involved in the Mediterranean Sea study (PML is
not affiliated with Plymouth University).

Organisms such as coral are also damaged by rising
temperatures, and studies are ongoing into the
combined effect of a warming and acidifying ocean.

Seagrasses were among the few beneficiaries of
more acid waters. There is much to learn. And
during the coming week, scientists will announce
the inauguration of the European Project on Ocean
Acidification (Epoca), a four-year, 16m euro (£12.5m)
initiative aiming to find some answers.

Studying the impacts may prove easier than doing
anything about them.

"The reason that the oceans are becoming more acidic
is because of the CO2 emissions that we are producing
from burning fossil fuels," observed Dr Turley.

"Add CO2 to seawater and you get carbonic acid;
it's simple chemistry, and therefore certain.

"This means that the only way of reducing the future
impact of ocean acidification is the urgent,
substantial reduction in CO2 emissions."

According to Dr. Young, "ocean acidification is
the macro view of our oceans becoming sick and tired
and the primary causative factor in global warming.
The death and extinction of marine life is the result
of this acidification which can be prevented with
alkalizing measures."

The Antioxidant Allicin Found In Garlic Can Protect Against Cancerous Condition

The next time you use garlic for its renowned

Although commercially bottled garlic is often
stored in oil or water, researchers did not know
how various storage and preservation methods affect
levels of allicin, which is fragile and disappears

To find out, Ariga’s group compared allicin levels
in extracts of fresh garlic after 1-2 weeks of
storage in water, alcohol, and vegetable oil.
Garlic stored in water at room temperature lost
about half its allicin in 6 days and garlic in
vegetable oil lost half its allicin in less than
an hour. The garlic lost its alkalizing action as
allicin broke down. However, allicin broke down
into materials that still are believed to have
some anticancerous and anti-blood clot effects.

The Importance of Vitamin D in the Prevention or Treatment of Diabetes

Sun exposure and vitamin D levels may play a strong
role in risk of type 1 diabetes in children, according
to new findings by researchers at the Moores Cancer
Center at University of California, San Diego (UCSD)
and the Department of Family and Preventive Medicine.
This association comes on the heels of similar research
findings by this same group regarding vitamin D levels
and several major cancers.

In this new study, the researchers found that populations
living at or near the equator, where there is abundant
sunshine (and ultraviolet B irradiance) have low
incidence rates of type 1 diabetes. Conversely,
populations at higher latitudes, where available
sunlight is scarcer, have higher incidence rates.
These findings add new support to the concept of a
role of vitamin D in reducing risk of this dis-ease.

Ultraviolet B (UVB) exposure triggers photosynthesis
of vitamin D3 in the skin. This form of vitamin D
also is available through diet and supplements.

“This is the first study, to our knowledge, to show
that higher serum levels of vitamin D are associated
with reduced incidence rates of type 1 diabetes

The study is published June 5 in the online version of
the scientific journal Diabetologia.

Type 1 diabetes is the second most common chronic
dis-ease in children, second only to asthma. Every

and its complications. About 15,000 new cases are
diagnosed in the United States each year, where this
dis-ease is the main cause of blindness in young and
middle-aged adults and is among the top reasons for
kidney failure and transplants in youth and midlife.

“This research suggests that childhood type 1 diabetes
may be preventable with a modest intake of vitamin D3
(1000 IU/day) for children, ideally with 5 to 10
minutes of sunlight around noontime, when good weather
allows,” said Garland. “Infants less than a year old
should not be given more than 400 IU per day without
consulting a doctor. Hats and dark glasses are a
good idea to wear when in the sun at any age, and can
be used if the child will tolerate them.”

The association of UVB irradiance to incidence of
type 1 diabetes remained strong even after the
researchers accounted for per capita health care
expenditure. This was an important consideration
because regions located near the equator tend to
have lower per capita health care expenditures,
which could result in under-reporting of type 1
diabetes.

The researchers created a graph with a vertical axis
for diabetes incidence rates, and a horizontal axis
for latitude. The latitudes range from -60 for the
southern hemisphere, to zero for the equator, to +70
for the northern hemisphere. They then plotted
incidence rates for 51 regions according to latitude.
The resulting chart was a parabolic curve that looks
like a smile.

In the paper the researchers call for public health
action to address widespread vitamin D inadequacy
in U.S. children.

“This study presents strong epidemiological evidence
to suggest that we may be able to prevent new cases
of type 1 diabetes,” said Garland. “By preventing this
disease, we would prevent its many devastating
consequences.”

Less is More and More is Less When Exercising

"As we age, the arteries become stiffer and tend to
lose their ability to dilate, and these effects
contribute to high blood pressure and cardiovascular
disease," says Maureen MacDonald, academic advisor
and an associate professor in the Department of
Kinesiology. "More detrimental is the effect that
blood vessel stiffening has on the heart, which has
to circulate blood".

According to Dr. Robert O. Young, a research scientist
at the pH Miracle Living Center, "stiffening or
hardening of the blood vessels is the result of
dietary and metabolic acid. The body buffers
dietary and metabolic acids with alkaline minerals,
like sodium and calcium which can form crystals that
build up on the walls of the artery or vein. This
can cause an increase in blood pressure leading to
a heart attack or stroke. An alkaline diet and
daily exercise will prevent acid crystals from
building up in the blood vessels and provide
insurance against a heart attack or stroke."

The sprint research compared individuals who
completed interval training using 30-second
"all-out" sprints three days a week to a group
who completed between 40 and 60 minutes of
moderate-intensity cycling five days a week.

It found that six weeks of intense sprint interval
exercise training improves the structure and
function of arteries as much as traditional and
longer endurance exercise with larger time
commitment.

"More and more, professional organizations are
recommending interval training during rehabilitation
from diseases like chronic obstructive pulmonary
disease, peripheral artery disease and cardiovascular
disease. Our research certainly provides evidence
that this type of exercise training is as effective
as traditional moderate intensity training," says
MacDonald. "We wouldn't be surprised to see more
rehabilitation programs adopt this method of training
since it is often better tolerated in diseased
populations".

Further, this research also shows that those who have
a hard time scheduling exercise into their life can
still benefit from the positive effects, if they are
willing to work hard for brief periods of time,
she says.

"Not only do I recommend daily sprint exercising but
I also recommend whole body vibrational exercise
for 30 second intervals. You can also focus on
specific muscles for 30 seconds to create a static
attraction and for toning and building. It is
important to understand when exercising that
less is more and more is less and less more often
is better then more less often," states Dr. Young.
